The University of Gardzienice for the Youth

(...) Young people from towns need a place to awake their imagination not only
by means of conventional methods popular at schools, but also through involving them
in artistic and organic-like work, which offers spiritual values and most satisfactory professional conditions. Such a place
has to be outside urban context where everything is done superficially and fast.
It has to guarantee a possibility
to concentrate and experience what
is valuable there. It has to be 'a new natural environment for art and education'.
The environment in which the burden
of living becomes a starter for creation.
Stay in such a place should allow a training
of imagination. It should develop a sense
of inner freedom. Such a place should be
a studio of intellectual argonautics. Home
for Theatre Practices and Home for Music Practices. Our company and associated professionals from all over the world will serve this mission (…)

Education

Centre for Theatre Practices "Gardzienice" has been engaged in education projects
from 1978 , both at home and abroad.
From 1989 to 1995 there was realised
a long-term project of Training for Theatre Instructors and Culture Animators"
targeted at students

Its participants took part in international seminars, symposia, training sessions
(f.ex. in England and Ireland), Expeditions (f.ex. to Gotland and Ukraine). Its scheme included the cooperation with theatre and film directors, actors, musicians, movement and singing teachers, as well as culture animators from almost twenty countries.
The project was highly evaluated and its participants are still involved in art projects based on their Gardzienice experience.
