The Village of Gardzienice

The Village of Gardzienice is located 32 km south-east
of Lublin. The area is hilly with deep ravines, featuring
the Giełczew river valley. Gardzienice belongs
to the district of Świdnik and commune of Piaski.
Piaski is a closest town, 3 km away. Gardzienice is situated 20 km away from a place where three important geographical formations meet up: the Central European Lowland , the Małopolska Upland and the Central Russian Lowland. Centuries ago trade routes were passing through the village, including the Medieval road from the west
to the east and the 13th c. route linking the harbours
of the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea.
