the actual Expeditions has been an established practice always performed
by several members of the company since Gardzienice was founded.

Reconnaissance focuses essentially on finding
old people who either cultivate or remember old traditions, customs,
stories and songs of their area, discovering 'friends among strangers'.
It happens in the course of reconnaissance
that the company collects music and texts which are eventually included
in their performances.
Reconnaissance aims at preparing a technical base for the Expedition,
including a place to stay.
